Winter Wear Swap + Bag2School Donations -  Monday 8th/Wednesday 10th November

The Winter Wear Swap is back! Take out all those pre-loved but no longer wanted winter wear items and bring them to the swap on Monday 8th November! Jackets, hats, boots - anything goes for sizes from preschool to high school. Items can be dropped off at either pickup or drop-off on the 8th and will be sorted by the PTA. Then, on Wednesday 10th November everyone is invited to come and pick up an item FOR FREE at pick-up from the donations. Hopefully this will help to make everyone's winter a bit more warm!

All left over donations will go to the Bag2School donation coming on November 18th. It's a chance to get rid of something your child no longer fits into and a great opportunity for you to pick up something useful!

Fancy Dress Day - Thursday 21st October
Now that your child has their new items from the Fancy Dress Swap, they can show them off! With this special day, the PTA is helping the School to add to our student libraries with new books on diversity. We are hoping to collect enough donations to support the purchase of books on topics such as cultural and physical diversity, Family diversity, real life heroes and more. Please give what you can so we can raise enough money for this goal!

The PTA will be collecting a "pay what you like" donation at the gate from each student who chooses to participate. We can't wait to see all the fabulous costumes!

Fancy Dress Swap - Monday 8th/Wednesday 10th October
In preparation for Fancy Dress Day we asked parents and students to take out all those pre-loved but no longer wanted costume items and bring them to the Fancy Dress Swap! Hats, glasses, wigs - anything goes! Then, on the following Wednesday everyone was invited to come and pick up an item in the playground FOR FREE at pick-up from the donations that better suits their style and size! We hope that everyone loves their new fancy dress items!
Second-Hand Uniform Sale - Thursday 16th September
The PTA is holding a second-hand uniform sale on Thursday 16th September! Parents and carers are invited to donate good condition second-hand uniform in advance of the sale to be cleaned and then redistributed on the 16th! Time to clear out those drawers and cupboards!

This year the AGM will be in person in the School Hall Tuesday 28th September at 7:30pm. You are welcome to wear a mask and please remember to practice social distancing. Hope to see you all there!
Past 2020/2021 PTA events

Stick Your Teacher To A Wall Event - Week of 20th June

Last month for our last PTA event we asked students to donate to sticking their teacher to a wall! And after a very tight race, Year 2 was the winner and Ms. Brown is the lucky volunteer to be plastered with duct tape. We hope that all the students had a great time with this new event and we’re happy to report we raised £505 for the school. This month in lieu of the Summer Picnic the PTA has donated so that each class could have their very own class party including prizes, decorations, games and treats.

Read-a-Thon - Wednesday 26th May

The PTA would again like to send a big THANK YOU and Congratulations to all our super readers who took part in the Read-a-Thon last month!
Top readers in each class were awarded with a certificate and book while the top 3 readers in the school were awarded with a copy of "Be Amazing, Inspiring Guide to being your own champion" signed by author and Olympian Sir Chris Hoy! Special thanks to Sir Chris Hoy and Carli for arranging these one of a kind prizes for our students! As well, prizes were provided to each class from the PTA for students and teachers to identify extra special Super Readers on the event day. We hope everyone had a great time flexing their super reading powers!
We raised an incredible £2046 that the school will be using towards events, trips, and guest speakers in the school. We all look forward to our next chance to be Super Readers!

Dress Like a Word Day - Friday 30th April

Dress Like a Word Day was Friday 30th April and it was a big hit with our students! Students were invited to dress like their favorite word and to be as creative as they liked. We raised £385 for the school which is incredible! Thank you to everyone for their continued support!

Jolly Jumper Day - Friday 11th December

Friday 11th December was Jolly Jumper Day at school! It was so fun to see so many students dressed up in their festive best to watch the Christmas Panto (donated by the PTA) and enjoying holiday treats! We raised £368 for the school which is the most we've ever raised for Jolly Jumper Day.

Personalised Letters to Father Christmas

"2020 has been quite a year!
We all need a big dose of festive cheer!
Send a personalised letter from Santa to your little one,
It's sure to bring a smile to their face and guarantee lots of fun!
There's no better way to make it extra special at Christmas time.
Please just let us know if you'd like a letter and the PTA elves will start the production line!"
Our first ever Personalized Letter from Father Christmas initiative was hugely successful. The PTA Elves packaged 220 letters to children in our school and raised an impressive £1009! Thank you again for helping to make a child smile!

Crazy Pyjama Day

The PTA would like to thank everyone for their enormous generosity! For Crazy Pyjama day your donations totaled £532 to be split evenly between the PTA and Children in Need. This is the most we've ever managed to collect for a crazy day and the PTA would like to send our most heartfelt thank you's to everyone who donated and participated as well as a giant thank you to the school and staff who continue to keep our children happy and safe.

Fancy Dress Friday

The PTA is kicking off fundraising for the 2020/21 year with Fancy Dress Friday! Just before we break up for the half term children are invited to come to school in their fancy dress best. This year we raised £276 to be used for the school.
